DolomitArt! A new dimension of LandArt! The bizarre, sublime and spectacular alpine landscape of the Dolomites is to be used as territory and inspiration for the creation of LandArt objects. Over the whole area of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage – within rocks, splits & cracks and terrains – it is possibile to install LandArt pieces of art. The participation in this contest is given by delivering the requested documents and up to three photographs of the created LandArt objects.
DolomitArt! A new dimension of LandArt! The bizarre, sublime and spectacular alpine landscape of the Dolomites is to be used as territory and inspiration for the creation of LandArt objects. Over the whole area of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage – within rocks, splits & cracks and terrains – it is possibile to install LandArt pieces of art. The participation in this contest is given by delivering the requested documents and up to three photographs of the created LandArt objects.
Criteria for the LandArt objects:
o Location:
The LandArt objects have to be created on the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage
territory.
o Material:
Exclusive usage of natural materials collected in the surroundings of the
location. Small technical accessories as wires, nails, environment-friendly
adhesives, etc. that are helpful for the objects’ stabilisation and not visible
are allowed. The installation of the LandArt objects must not interfere with
the natural habitat and its creatures. Potential transports have to be
compatible with the protection rules.
Criteria for participation in the photo contest:
o Documents: At
least three photographs of the work in progress, GPS data for exact location
reference;
o Delivery:
A maximum of three photographs sized 50x40 cm or 70x50 cm, at least 1,400 x 2,000
pixel for digital pictures. Place of delivery: Library Hans Glauber Toblach; E-mails
to bibliothek.toblach@brennercom.net; Deadline: 25th September 2015;
o Exhibition:
At the beginning of October 2015 at the library Hans Glauber. Placement of at
least one picture of each participant. The exhibition (or a selection thereof) will
be transferred to the Tre Cime visitor centre in Dobbiaco and to other facilities.
Participants have to collect or organize themselves
the return of their pictures (shipping costs at the participants’ expense).
Legal notes:
By participating at the contest, contributors
automatically agree to the publication and evaluation of the delivered
pictures. The contest organisation committee receives a temporal and content-related
limited right of use of the photographs. Participants agree to the transfer of
the pictures to third parties and give their consent to the data protection regulations
(following art. 13/decree 196/2003 under Italian law) exclusively related to
the purpose of this contest.
Prizes:
- A balloon flight over the Dolomites and catering at the Hotel Rosengarten.
- A guided mountaineering tour to the “Cima Grande/Große Zinne“ peak with a Globo Alpin mountain guide
- A sightseeing flight over the Dolomites with the association “Amici del volo Alta Pusteria“.
